Synopsis

ENIGMA OF THE DEATH-SHIP! Batman is on the trail of a drug ring and the only evidence he needs to find the Kingpin's identity is in the log book of a sunken ship. Batman eventually finds the ship, but he is confronted by members of the criminal ring, who try to prevent him from getting the log book. To his amazement, Batman is also stopped by his friend Aquaman, who inexplicable wants to stop Batman from getting the evidence he needs.   A triple confrontation between Batman, Aquaman, and the criminals starts in the ocean, where Aquaman has the upper hand. When Mera tries to intervene, Aquaman gets distracted long enough for Batman to retrieve the log book. Aquaman manages to get rid of the criminals and he follows Batman to the surface, where Batman finally opens the log book and finds the truth.   It is then that Batman learns the reason behind Aquaman's inexplicable behavior. The King of Atlantis feared that the log book contained information about his father that would soil his reputation, but Batman tells him that there is nothing to worry as the information in the book only clears his father's name. After learning the truth, Aquaman apologizes for his behavior, but Batman is shocked to learn the real identity of the drug-lord kingpin.
